Copyright Permissions Purchase as new FIZ AutoDoc Service

• FIZ AutoDoc now offers the possibility to purchase individual copyright permissions, i.e. the right to make copies (paper or electronic) of a document already owned by you/your company.

• According to the standard FIZ AutoDoc Terms&Conditions, the FIZ AutoDoc default usage rights are restricted as described here (e.g. restriction to the customer's own internal purposes, interdiction of scanning and electronic use, no transmission of any copies to third parties etc.).Thus, our new FIZ AutoDoc offer helps you to comply with copyright agreements and law, if additional permissions / usage rights in order to make document copies are needed. This service is provided in close cooperation with our partner Infotrieve.
  
  
• The following intended uses of copies are available for copyright permissions purchase:
  • Internal Digital General Business Use
    • to make a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy for internal use by company employees on a single computer (= not on a shared network drive / shared database server)
  • Internal Photocopy General Business Use
    • to make a photocopy for internal use by company employees
  • External Digital General Business Use
    • to make a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy for external use
  • External Photocopy General Business Use
    • to make a photocopy for external use
  • Regulatory Submission
    • to submit a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy to a government regulatory authority
  • Reactive Use
    • to distribute a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy in response to an external request (no passive distribution - must be actively requested by recipient)
  • Intranet / Enterprise Storage
    • to post a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy on your company’s intranet or any enterprise storage (company-wide access).
  • Workgroup Storage
    • to post a scanned copy or a publisher original digital copy on a shared network drive / shared database server (available to a limited number of employees).

  Enter the bibliographic data of the document, select the intended use of copies, define the number of copies, fill in your personal data and click “Submit”. The FIZ AutoDoc Service Team will process your request and contact you by e-mail with the pricing information for your copyright permission offer request. Finally, order your copyright permission by responding to our Service Team's e-mail.
  
  
• Price information: A cost estimate is mandatory. The total price for copyright permissions orders consists of the copyright fee (depending on the intended use of copies, the number of copies and the publication/publisher) PLUS a manual processing fee (9.90 EURO per document). The costs will be included in your monthly FIZ AutoDoc invoice. The pricing for copyright permissions purchase will be added to our price list at the date of the release. The prices for our other services remain unchanged.
