STN Information Keep & Share Program
The STN Information Keep & Share Program provides an easy way to:
- Store (archive) STN search results for future access and for others within a worldwide organization
- Distribute (redistribute) electronic or paper copies of STN search results to others within an organization.
Features and benefits
With the STN Information Keep & Share Program, purchase the right to archive and redistribute search results from STN databases. The use policy of each STN database states what may be done with database records without further payment. Rights to keep and/or share the STN records in excess of the use policy may be purchased with the STN Information Keep & Share Program.
An organization is defined as the worldwide company or legal entity of employment, including divisions, branches, subsidiaries, and affiliates, whether partially or wholly owned.
The STN Information Keep & Share Program offers the ability to purchase archival and redistribution rights as search results are displayed or printed. This is called On-Demand archiving or redistribution. Archival and redistribution rights may also be purchased if the search results have already been displayed or printed. This is called After-the-Fact archiving or redistribution.
The STN Information Keep & Share Program does not prevent working directly with database producers to secure archive and redistribution permissions.
