New version supports material scientists in solving problems from basic and applied research
Karlsruhe, October 2007 – For more than 25 years, the crystal structure database ICSD (Inorganic Crystal Structure Database) has been a helpful tool for material scientists, chemists, and physicists when it comes to solving problems from basic and applied research. After the latest release, the database now comprises more than 100,000 records and thus enables its users to secure and improve product quality and production processes. The valuable data are particular useful for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of unknown materials or waste products thereby allowing, for example, to elucidate corrosive processes during production.
