FILE UPDATES
CBNB will be enhanced by simultaneous left and right truncation (SLART) in the basic index (/BI) and in field chemical names (/CN).
The public release is scheduled for June 1, 2003.
The Database Summary Sheet is available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
2. DWPI - IMPLIED PROXIMITY IN DCR FIELD /CMT
Implied Proximity W has been introduced in the field /CMT in DCR (Derwent Chemistry Resource), the searchable index to the Derwent World Patents Index on STN (files WPIDS, WPINDEX, and WPIX). This is especially useful when searching for biosequences in DWPI, e.g.
=> s Gly-Glu-Lys/cmt
=> s Gly Glu Lys/cmt
=> s "Gly Glu Lys"/cmt
is all interpreted by the system as
=> s ("GLY"(W)"GLU"(W)"LYS")/CMT
The Database Summary Sheets are available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
3. ENCOMPLIT - LIST OF SUPPORTERS UPDATED
The database producer, Elsevier Engineering Information (EI), has recently provided STN with an updated list of supporters for ENCOMPLIT. As a result, some customers who previously had access to ENCOMPLIT are no longer able to access it. If this update affected you, you should use ENCOMPLIT2 instead.
If your organization has been mistakenly removed from the list of supporters, or to become a supporter and get access to ENCOMPLIT, contact Elsevier Engineering Information's Customer Service department by telephone at 1-201-356-6868 or by e-mail at eicustomersupport(at)elsevier(dot)com.
The Database Summary Sheets are available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
4. ENCOMPPAT - LIST OF SUPPORTERS UPDATED
The database producer, Elsevier Engineering Information (EI), has recently provided STN with an updated list of supporters for ENCOMPPAT. As a result, some customers who previously had access to ENCOMPPAT are no longer able to access it. If this update affected you, you should use ENCOMPPAT2 instead.
If your organization has been mistakenly removed from the list of supporters, or to become a supporter and get access to ENCOMPPAT, contact Elsevier Engineering Information's Customer Service department by telephone at 1-201-356-6868 or by e-mail at eicustomersupport(at)elsevier(dot)com.
The Database Summary Sheets are available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
5. PASCAL - BACKFILE DATA ADDED
PASCAL, the comprehensive French database on science, medicine and technology, has been enlarged with backfile data from 1977 to 1983. More than 3.4 million records have been added; more than 2 million of them contain an abstract in French, controlled indexing is available in French for 3.2 million records, and for 1.4 million records in both, French and English. The file now contains about 13.1 million records and is updated weekly with about 9,000 records.
The Database Summary Sheet is available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
6. PHAR - NEW FIELD ADDED; CHEMICAL NAME FIELD ENHANCED
A new search field, Pharmacokinetic Information (/PHK), has been added. The Pharmacokinetic Information field is searchable in the /PHK, Basic Index (/BI), and Field Availability (/FA) fields and displayable in the PHK field. In addition, the Chemical Name (/CN) field has been enhanced with the Systematic Chemical Name. This information is searchable in the /CN, /BI, and /FA fields and displayable in the CN field.
The revised Database Summary Sheet is available in STNGUIDE and on the Web on our Database List.
