Services and Projects for European Institutions

For more than 20 years, FIZ Karlsruhe has been analyzing and disseminating research information on heat pumps. The most important activities in this field were to operate the Heat Pump Centre of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the project “Informationszentrum Wärmepumpen und Kältetechnik” (information centre for heat pumps and cooling technology ) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.  Today, our activities focus on collaborating in European heat pump projects and performing services for international institutions.

Current projects and services:

• Project GROUND-MED „Advanced ground source heat pump systems for heating and cooling in Mediterranean climate“ (FP7-Energy-2007-2)
• Project SEPEMO-Build “Seasonal performance factor and monitoring for heat pump systems in the building sector” (IEE 2008)
• Operation of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) website.
