STMA-Z is an international reference database in statistics, with the aim to be as comprehensive as possible. It is a follow-up service to STMA published by ISI, a printed documentation service which later had been mainly offered on CD-ROM. The editorial concept for STMA-Z has remained the same as for STMA, but now the focus is on offering a reference database on the web. The structure and the facilities are the same as for the database Zentralblatt MATH, and both services overlap in the area of mathematical statistics. However, being a service for the statistics community and the users of statistical methods, STMA mainly provides information on statistics literature going beyond mathematical statistics. The database content in this field is managed by an international team of editors. STMA-Z is jointly published by FIZ Karlsruhe and ISI.
