REGISTRY: More calculated properties added

Calculated values for six additional physical properties are being added to single-component organic molecules in REGISTRY/ZREGISTRY on STN and are available for search and display.
These properties began to appear he week of November 3, 2002, and the process of adding the properties will continue for approximately six months. The new properties will provide information professionals and scientists with information that is useful in evaluating the environmental impact of compounds and in identifying candidates for environmentally friendly chemical processes.
The six new calculated properties are:
- Bioconcentration factor
- Boiling point
- Enthalpy of Vaporization
- Flash point
- Organic Carbon Adsorption Coefficient (Koc)
- Vapor Pressure
The values for these properties are being calculated using CAS connection tables and software developed by Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD), Toronto, Canada, a leader in the field of physical property prediction.
