Gene names are now available in BIOSIS. The new search field, Gene Name (/GEN), contains names of genes, gene families, and loci described in the record. Gene names are:

STN on the Web: BLAST(R) searching in REGISTRY	23. January 2002
Similarity searching of peptides and nucleic acids in REGISTRY is available using the BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) algorithm via STN on the Web. Conducting a BLAST search in REGISTRY provides access to over 17 million peptide and nucleic acid sequences.
