Accessing STN Viewer
Supported web browsers:

  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, Version 6.0 or higher
  • Mozilla® Firefox®, Version 1.0 or higher

To use STN Viewer:

  1. Conduct a search in STN Express, Version 8.2, in one or more patent-containing databases
  2. Click an L-number or a patent number from a displayed patent record and select Evaluate with STN Viewer 

When Evaluate with STN Viewer is selected, patent documents are retrieved from STN full-text patent databases and sent to STN Viewer, launched in your default web browser.  Existing patent projects in STN Viewer may be accessed directly via the Web.
