Importing full-text patent records into STN Viewer
To import a set of full-text patent records into STN Viewer:
- Use STN Express, Version 8.2, to conduct a search in one or more patent-containing STN databases.
- Select the Evaluate with STN Viewer option in one of the following ways:
- Click on the L-number answer set containing patent records.
- Click the Discover! button and highlight the L-number containing patent records.
- Select from the Select Discover! Wizard window and select the L-number containing patent records.
To import a single patent record into STN Viewer:
Click on its patent number, application number, or priority application number in a displayed record.
Select the Evaluate with STN Viewer option.
STN software automatically performs the following:
- Extracts all patent numbers from the patent records and searches them in the STN full-text patent files.
- Launches STN Viewer.
- Sends the full-text patent records to STN Viewer.
- Populates the Patent Queue with the full-text patent records.
