How to reach us
FIZ Karlsruhe – Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure is located on the premises of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology/KIT Campus Nord (formerly "Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe"), about 12 km north of Karlsruhe.
You can reach FIZ Karlsruhe by car or by public transport (train to Karlsruhe central station) from the following airports: Frankfurt/Main, Stuttgart or Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (Baden-Airpark).
Tram S1 or S11 from Karlsruhe central station to Hochstetten (every 20 minutes).
If available, board the through coach “KIT Campus Nord” at the end of the train; otherwise exit at tram station Leopoldstraße and continue by bus no. 195 which goes directly to the southern entrance of Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.
Coming from Frankfurt/M on motorway A67/A6, leave at exit Hockenheim, then take B 36 for Karlsruhe. Leave at exit Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen/KIT Campus Nord.
Coming from Heidelberg on motorway A5, leave at exit Bruchsal and take B35, direction Bruchsal-Bretten. After approximately 3 km, at the outskirts of Bruchsal, turn to the right for Stutensee-Büchenau, and then continue straight on for Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen/KIT Campus Nord.
Coming from Basel/Stuttgart on motorway A5, leave at exit Karlsruhe-Mitte. Take the direction of Landau (B10). Leave at exit no. 8/9. Take the direction of Mannheim on B 36 up to exit KIT Campus Nord.
Coming from the west via Landau/Wörth on motorway A65, leave at exit no. 9, then take B 36, direction Mannheim up to exit KIT Campus Nord.
Please note that for entering the city of Karlsruhe itself, you will need an eco sticker for your car. If you only visit FIZ Karlsruhe/KIT Campus Nord you will not need any.
