New batteries, body components, or displays – products with improved material properties convince the customers

By discovering new crystalline structures or modifying existing ones researchers lay the foundation for the development of new and improved products. Yet such innovation can only be achieved when researchers have access to reliable information about crystalline compounds.

Our Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) is trusted by researchers worldwide as a comprehensive source of information in crystallography. The database contains all inorganic crystalline structures published since 1913. Updated twice annually, the database contains over 203,000 crystalline structures. To keep the database current, we monitor publications in more than 1,600 professional journals.
