Curriculum Vitae and Publications Dr. Ing. Alsayed Algergawy

Dr. Ing. Alsayed Algergawy is a senior researcher and joined the Information Service Engineering unit in January 2026.

He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Tanta University, Egypt, and obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany, in 2010. Dr. Ing. Alsayed Algergawy has extensive experience in data management, with a particular focus on data integration, the Semantic Web, knowledge graphs, and machine learning.

He has been involved in several interdisciplinary research projects, including AquaDiva, BioDialog, AgriSem, and INAS, where he applied Semantic Web technologies to support data management, integration, and data discovery across heterogeneous data sources. His research interests span multiple domains and emphasize the use of semantic technologies to enable interoperable and scalable data-driven systems.

Dr. Ing. Alsayed Algergawy is the author of more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, conferences, and edited volumes.
