Sabine Brünger-Weilandt: The President and CEO of FIZ Karlsruhe is a member of the German Council for Scientific Information Infrastructure. The 24 honorary council members represent a broad range of scientific disciplines and institutions. The council’s mission is to make developments and processes related to information infrastructures more transparent and to assist in developing and presenting German positions in European and international debate. In November 2018, Mrs. Brünger-Weilandt was appointed for another four-year mandate.
At a European level, Mrs. Brünger-Weilandt is contributing to Horizon 2020. This is the largest research and innovation program of all times, with a financial volume of almost 80 billion EUR. It will run for a seven-year term (2014 to 2020). Mrs. Brünger-Weilandt as a German expert is a member of the Horizon 2020 council for European research infrastructures and e-infrastructures.
Prof. Dr. Franziska Boehm was appointed a member of the steering committee of the expert panel “Fundamental rights review of EU data collection instruments and programmes“ of the EU commission (December 2016).
Prof. Dr. Harald Sack is a founder member and general secretary of the German IPv6 Council which functions as a national link to the International IPv6 Forum with the aim to promote the implementation of the new internet protocol IPv6 in Germany and to support players from industry, research, politics and administration for this purpose.
